Hello, I'm Charlotte

Welcome to The Lavender Store. We're a small family business based in the Essex countryside, selling dried lavender, hand-filled lavender bags and lavender wedding confetti.

My love of lavender started on holidays in Provence, driving past fields of purple that seemed to go on forever. The scent stayed with me long after I got home, and a few years ago I decided to share it by bringing some of that lavender back to the UK.

Our lavender

We import our loose dried lavender directly from a small cooperative in Provence, France. We stock two varieties:

  • Lavandula X Intermedia Extra: a light blue/grey lavender with an extra-strong scent. It's ideal for crafts, potpourri, making essential oils and filling lavender bags.
  • Lavandula X Intermedia (blue lavender): a pretty pale blue lavender with a milder fragrance, and perfect for wedding confetti.

Filled by hand

Every one of our organza lavender bags is filled by hand, here in Essex, with our strongly scented Lavandula X Intermedia Extra. Customers use them to scent drawers and wardrobes, deter moths, freshen up trainers and help them sleep, and the smaller packs make lovely gifts.

Looking after the planet

Wherever possible we use biodegradable packaging. If you can't reuse it yourself, it can generally be recycled through your local bin collection, and most supermarkets will recycle it too.

Fast, friendly delivery

Depending on the size of your order, we send it by Royal Mail or courier. Most orders received by 11am (Monday to Thursday) go out the same day. Orders placed on Thursday afternoon, Friday or at the weekend are sent on Monday.

Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend. We deliver to Great Britain and Northern Ireland only.

A family business

The Lavender Store is run by me, with a little help from my family, including my son Jonny, who looks after the website. We read every message ourselves, so if you have a question about our lavender, need a large quantity for a wedding or event, or just want to say hello, please get in touch.
